Better Imagined was born out of my love for fashion, art and photography. The name comes from the idea that all possibilities are up for the taking in life, all you need is your imagination.
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” – Albert Einstein
My style is somewhat hard to define; I am drawn to things made from the heart. Refined beauty. Destroyed luxury. Reconstituted memories. Blood.
Also, dolly-like dresses. Old paper. Glamourous gowns. Inside out socks. Snake skin. Cupcakes.
This is a place, a collection of things I have come across, a communication between you and me.
◈ BETTER IMAGINED MANTRA ◈
I believe that fashion is better imagined in the heart.
I believe that this small gesture is better known as style.
I believe personal style trumps any rule of fashion.
I believe in giving all designers and stores a chance to showcase what they’ve got.
I believe in the individual’s message, and that style is a good broadcast for it.
I believe in hi/lo fashion, and I will shop anywhere.
I believe that real beauty has bumps, bruises and quirkiness.
I believe in colors, textures, tones and notes.
I believe real style is effortless and lighthearted.
I believe that good humor is sexy.
I believe that music and fashion make fantastic lovers.
I believe that personal style should be comfortable and fashion should be fun.
I believe that style crosses all borders: nationality, race and sexuality.
I believe that no one should ever feel they are stuck in a box, and that growth should be experienced freely.
I believe that all types of fashion and all styles are available to everyone.
I believe that some of the best stores can be found in the dingiest of strip malls.
I believe that you are what you eat and what you wear reflects only a part of who you are.
I believe in big diamonds and penny mood rings.
I believe that fashion is high brow art.
I believe in the freedom of expression, in all forms.
I believe if you can’t find something to wear, go naked!
