Been wanting to post about these boots since before Christmas! I love Doc Marten’s boots irl and now I can enjoy them isl as well! Gospel Voom of GOS has made a great rendition of this style of boot, and has pulled out all of the scripting stops! The boot can be worn three different ways: pristine, abused and loose, you can add more colors of ‘shoe polish’ to your boot as he releases them (just wear the boots and polish and it updates for you!), as well as colorful toe cap designs and laces. The sculpting and scripting work on these is out of this world! Gospel also makes amazing watches, sunglasses and furniture, all for sale at his shop. He also has some badass high heels in the works…

Just wanted to say how much I love Designer’s United 3 – Vaudeville heaven! Cheers to Nil, Lu and all the great designers who participated in this event! I’m really loving everything! Event ends January 6th! Love, Abra

this isn’t a revolution.

…it’s just clothes!

I love beige…particularly Fishy Strawberry‘s sheeny, luxurious beige. I’ve been coveting this sweater and these leggings for far too long! I also love Viva La Glam‘s beige tone as well, and it matches Fishy Strawberry’s! I wish these two shops made more items in this color! Beige, when done wrong, is the most boring color in the world. But when done right, nothing is chicer than beige. No, not even black. And it goes with everything.

Also love Kookie‘s discounted holiday gift hair. We must have read the same fashion spread, because I’d been dreaming about offset, tipsy bun hair like this for months now. I should get out the photos which inspired me and show them to you sometime as they’re gorgeous! Yay! Love, Abra

ps. Viva La Glam is having a holiday sale!

Merry Christmas!

December 25, 2009

Merry Christmas & a very happy Holiday Season to you! I hope your holiday is fun and safe, full of holiday cheer and loved ones at your table. And maybe a few presents too! I know my loved ones will be receiving homemade cookies and caramel corn from me! Thank you for your readership, I really enjoy sharing my looks on Better Imagined and I would like you to know how much it means to me to have you visit here! :) Best wishes for you and may our 2010 be the best yet! See you soon. With Love, Abra

Veschi is back and Alla Ruff has cooked up some fantastic pieces, touching on both the feminine and the funky, as is expected from her label. I love all of it. Osakki designer Kaysha Piers released some cute new items, including these diamond fishnet leggings. I am always looking for bold statement socks/leggings/tights and these just rock! Also in love with Slink‘s Ashia pointe toe ballet shoes, after months and months of waiting for any reasonably well-made pairs to exist, suddenly there are a few on the market that are just fantastic. This is a very good thing! I think this pair is my favorite- and most accurately rendered- to date! Now if only we could get some with ribbons that climb up the legs…a girl can wish! Happy Holidays to you!! Peace & Love to all!! <3 Love, Abra

Holiday fever is going to the brain…better cool it down with a goth inspired look. Don’t know if you know this, but when I first rezzed, I was quite goth. I think that was the first ‘expensive’ (ie. not free) skin I purchased- a goth skin. What can I say? I enjoy being pale and slightly sulky in both worlds. ;P Or maybe it’s more about the black wardrobe, if we’re to be quite honest here. If goths wore brown or yellow, I’d jump ship. A favorite artist of mine, Camilla Engman, once said on her blog, that her (gorgeous) Swedish apartment is very muted in color because she loves them all so much. I think sometimes I feel the same way about my wardrobe. Although I mix it up, I’m happiest when I’m wearing lots of colors/patterns or a look that is very monotone/lacking in color. It’s part of my dichotomy. :) Love everything in this look. Especially Fishy Strawberry‘s Geisha belt! How sophisticated and versatile it is!! A closing thought: It’s easy to wear anything, in any combination, if you really love it. Love, Abra

Another Christmas-flavored post. ;P I can’t help it. I’m not usually the seasonal type, but so many creators have been really outdoing themselves with the holiday presents! Thanks so much to all of you, your hard work makes for much holiday delight and merriment! <3 This Truth Martini dress is fantastic, it’s been everywhere and yet, how could I not wear it here? Here is my take. It’s beginning to look like I enjoy patterns a whole bunch! This may be true… Love, Abra
